Jennifer bridges, principal
Mrs. Bridges grew up in Decatur. During her school years, she participated in basketball, volleyball, and made the Varsity tennis team all four years of high school. Beyond sports, Mrs. Bridges also belonged to a variety of clubs and organizations including National Honor Society. Upon graduation Mrs. Bridges moved to Charleston to attend Eastern Illinois University to major in History, minor in Geography and receive her teacher certification. A semester after graduating EIU Magna Cum Laude, Mrs. Bridges returned to EIU to receive her Master’s in History, with an emphasis on American History.
Just two weeks after graduating with a master’s, Mrs. Bridges began her career at Neoga High School teaching Social Studies courses. During her tenure at Neoga, Mrs. Bridges was a part of numerous committees and in charge of various activities, such as the yearbook. Also, during her tenure at Neoga, Mrs. Bridges returned to EIU one more time to receive her Master’s in Educational Leadership. When Mrs. Bridges was not teaching courses at the high school level, she was teaching online college courses for two online universities.
In her free time, Mrs. Bridges enjoys time with her husband and two children. They are all huge St. Louis Cardinal fans.
